A Wedding Gift for the Bride Candice

White roses and eggplant purple callas are all that make up this painting. You don't need too much to create a beautiful keepsake from you wedding bouquet. This is a 16 x 20 canvas.

This is what it looks like when I start laying out the petals to decide what exactly I want to do on the canvas.

Renee & Kevin - July 7, 2012

Renee's wedding flowers were preserved on a 14 x 18 canvas

Michigan, Balloons & A Wedding - Lisa & Blair, August 4, 2012

Balloons weren't in the plans for the wedding photos, but when Blair and Lisa saw the photos with them
they fell in love with the idea.
It is always a fun challenge to be asked to do something new in a painting. At first I was a bit hesitant, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised with the result.

Recreating A Wedding Bouquet Painting For Kristen

Kristen discovered my blog with my preserved wedding flower paintings long after she was married. I told her that I could recreate her bouquet by buying them myself and then set them in to press. She gave me a list of all the flowers that were in her wedding, then when I went to the flower mart we worked on matching the colors and size of the flowers via cell phone.
I then sent her photos of the flowers I purchased to make sure she was satisfied with the colors and began pressing them. Once they were ready to take out of press I worked with her on what background color(s) she wanted and which style of painting she liked best.
Kristen chose a 16 x 20 horizontal canvas which flowed nicely with her flowers.
The actual colors of the flowers usually change once pressed, but purples are still very lovely after pressing.
